This Christmas (I'd Rather Have Love) is renowned American singer Teddy Pendergrass’ fourteenth and final studio album. Surefire Records released this record on CD on September 15, 1998. Initially entering the music scene, the album made its debut at number 83 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Moreover, it made a resurgence in popularity in 2010, peaking at number 43 on the Top Holiday Albums chart. The album combines Pendergrass’ gospel roots with his signature multi-genre style and features unique takes on holiday classics as well as original tracks.
